Very interesting specimens of plancheite from this Katanga copper mine. We can enjoy several sky-blue color botryoidal growths of this rare hydrated copper silicate, They form very curious and aesthetic “dalinian” structures. These spheres are formed by radiated needle like crystals, with a felted aspect. These samples have been analyzed (SEM-EDS, XRD) and results indicate the presence of a small percentage of shattuckite.
