SCEPTER QUARTZ, VAR. AMETHYST

Many of the amethyst quartz specimens cited as coming from Las Vigas are really extracted in this mining area known as Piedra Parada. In these specimens we can observe aggregates of very sharp quartz crystals, with developed prisms and multiple terminal faces, some of them with the scepter shape. Amazing brilliance and transparence. They present a certain zoning of the amethyst colour, more intense in the cristal core and some with "ghosts". Very aesthetic specimens. The main crystal is: 3,8 x 1,3 x 0,9 cm. 1,5 x 0,51 x 0,35 Inc.
