BERYL var. EMERALD, PHLOGOPITE

Exceptional specimen of beryl, of the emerald variety, from the classic Galician town of A Franqueira. It is formed by various groups of crystals, some of them of very considerable size, with parallel growths and shapes of a hexagonal prism. The emerald green color, worth the description, shows some zonation between the internal part of the crystal and the external zone with a more intense color. They are embedded in a matrix of bright phlogopite. Specimens of this size and from this locality are very rare on the market and are even very rare for the site. A unique opportunity to have a museum copy of this town. It comes from the Jesús Talabán collection and is accompanied by a handwritten label with the date 1982. The main crystal: 6,1 x 3,1 x 3,0 cm.
